The Polish National Opera will perform Eugene Onegin and Aida at Dubai Opera in February 2018 [ From category News ] [ Article date: 2017-11-14 ] [ From city Dubai ] [ Country EAU ]   Dubai Opera is pleased to announce that The Polish National Opera will take to the stage in February 2018 to perform two breath-taking opera classics, Eugene Onegin and Aida. Tickets will go on sale at midday on Monday, 7 August, starting at AED350. A tragic tale of forbidden love composed by Giuseppe Verdi, Aida promises to captivate audiences when it runs at Dubai Opera from 14 to 17 February 2018. The story follows the struggle of Nubian princess, Aida, and the Egyptian warrior Radamès, as they`re forced to choose between true love or loyalty to their countries. Performed in beautiful Italian with English surtitles, audiences will be taken on a heart-wrenching journey of love and loss. The second opera from the company, Eugene Onegin, is also an intense, passionate story about love, interwoven with friendship and rejection. Guests will no doubt enjoy the musical score composed by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, when it takes to the stage on 22 and 23 February. Performed in Russian with English surtitles, Eugene Onegin tells the tale of the highs and lows of a sophisticated yet selfish man who lives to regret his rejection of a young woman`s love. Tickets for Aida and Eugene Onegin will go on sale at midday on Monday, 7 August 2017, with prices starting at just AED 350 for both performances.
